Do you DJ destination weddings or events in Alaska?

Absolutely. Many couples travel here for a destination wedding in Alaska, and I specialize in making the process simple and stress-free. We utilize an online planning form in which the client can provide pertinent information to help plan for remotely. We provide ceremony sound, personalized playlists, timeline guidance, and full reception hosting; perfect for couples planning from out of state.

Many destination weddings take place during the weekdays where venues may have discounts. We also provide a discount for weddings held during Monday through Thursday, not including holidays.

What’s included with your DJ services?

All packages include professional sound, wireless microphones, massive music library, and emcee services to keep your event running smoothly. This ensures your Alaska wedding or event sounds incredible from the ceremony to the last song of the night.

Do you provide music and microphones for the ceremony?

Yes. Ceremony coverage includes a dedicated sound system, wireless lapel mic for your officiant, and a handheld mic for readers or vows. All music cues are professionally timed for a flawless ceremony experience. The system is battery-powered and does not require AC power.

Can you DJ outdoor weddings or remote Alaska locations?

Yes. I regularly DJ outdoor weddings, mountaintop & beach ceremonies, and remote lodge celebrations throughout Alaska. As long as power or generator access is available, I can provide a full professional setup almost anywhere. If a generator is needed, we recommend a minimum of 2,000 Kw.

Do you take song requests?

Yes, when appropriate. I take requests that fit your crowd, vibe, and do-not-play list; ensuring the dance floor stays full without disrupting the energy.

How do we choose the music for our wedding?

You’ll receive a detailed music planning form where you can list must-play songs, genres you love, and do-not-play preferences. I combine your vision with my experience to build the perfect soundtrack for your Alaska wedding or event. This includes sharing playlists from Spotify and Apple Music. We will use these as lists and ensure we have sourced all the songs legally.

Do you play clean, age-appropriate music for school dances?

Yes. For proms, homecoming, and under-age school events, I use clean radio edits and music that is safe, appropriate, and trending for students. For college events, we ball out!

Do you offer lighting or special effects?

Yes! Upgrades include dance floor lighting, uplighting, photo booth services, dancing on the clouds, and karaoke; perfect for weddings, corporate parties, and special events.

How far in advance should we book?

Peak months for weddings are June through September. The corporate holiday & gala season is November through February. It’s best to reserve your date 6–12 months in advance.

Do you carry backup equipment?

Yes. Backup speakers, microphones, cables, and music sources are always on-site to ensure your event runs perfectly, even in Alaska’s unpredictable conditions.

How do payments and deposits work?

A retainer secures your date, with the remaining balance due on the event date. I offer flexible payment options to make booking easy for local and destination clients.

Do you meet with clients before the wedding or event?

Yes. I offer planning calls or in-person meetings to review music preferences, timelines, venue details, and special instructions; especially helpful for destination weddings.

Are you insured?

Yes. I carry full liability insurance, and certificates can be sent directly to your venue upon request.

What happens if there’s bad weather?

For outdoor events, I always plan a backup option. If weather forces the ceremony or reception inside, I quickly relocate and adapt the setup to keep everything on schedule.

What genres of music do you play?

Everything. From Top 40, country, and hip-hop to Motown, throwbacks, R&B, EDM, cultural music, and more. Every playlist is customized to your event and crowd. I dislike anything cookie cutter as every event is different.

Do you work well with planners and photographers?

Yes. I coordinate closely with your wedding planner, photographer, videographer, and venue team to ensure smooth transitions and perfect timing throughout the event.

Can we add a photo booth or special effects to our DJ package?

Absolutely. Photo booths, cold spark effects, dancing on the clouds, karaoke, and lighting upgrades can all be added to enhance your event.
